Flower Bowl Arrangement 26-07-2025 10:30am - 12:30pm
Learn the basics of foam-free flower design with us, creating a small flower-focused bowl arrangement with a chicken wire mechanic. This class is ideal for beginners or those looking to practice meditative floristry, where we consider the arrangement's vessel and purpose. Recommended for beginners or those wishing to learn the foundations of sustainable floral design.
August Calendar
Flower Tablescape Class: limited 5 spots available. 02-08-2025 10:30am - 12:30pm
A limited class as we will create a flower and moss tablescape approx. 3m long as a group. Individuals will take home their section of the tablescape, including small chicken wire/ moss structure featuring seasonal flowers and plants. Recommended for those with some experience with design or those interested in learning a new, beautiful skill in a creative group.
Hand-Tie Bouquet Class 16-08-2025 10:30am - 12:30pm
Learn to create a garden-style hand-tie bouquet with us using the spiral method of design. We will use seasonal, soft flowers and teach you all the tricks to create a perfect spiral stem structure. We will also teach you how to wrap your bouquet before you take it home. Recommended for beginners or those wishing to practice their hand-tie arranging skills.
Ikebana Inspired Class: Jacqueline Lewis Vessels 30-08-2025 11am - 1pm
A very special class where we will design ikebana-inspired arrangements in unique ceramic vessels handmade by local Canberra artist Jacqueline Lewis. This is a less structured class based more on flower play, utilising a range of botanical materials to experiment with your unique vessel. Recommended for those experienced in floristry, design or creative art practice.

Each class will offer you the foundational skills of sustainable floral design and a thorough understanding of flowers and botanicals. We focus on creative, contemporary design, utilising locally grown product with reusable or compostable mechanics. Florals and foliage variety is guided by what is seasonally available, in complementary colour palettes. Enrolling in consecutive classes provides the opportunity to build upon past skills and acquired knowledge and further enhance your floral artistry.
SPIRAL welcomes all persons of all abilities and advocates for a safe learning environment. Our studio is wheelchair accessible and classes can be tailored to suit individual needs such as chronic illness, disability, neurodivergency and mental wellbeing.
